Well we are home!! It has been a few days. We are still adjusting, and I am sure that will take lots of time! I will post some more pictures when we get them downloaded. We were meet at the airport by several family and friends. :) When we were in LAX airport waiting for our flight to SLC, my heart wanted to break for Maycee. She was sitting there saying Ni Hao to everyone she could see. It means hello, and nobody would respond to her. I wanted to cry. It was at this point that she knew she wasn't in her country anymore. Nobody looked like her and nobody spoke like her.

She is doing well, we have about one break down a day, but other than that, she LOVES her sister and brother!! She always counts on her little fingers.....mama, papa, brother, sister, and Maycee!! So she understands that she is part of a family now. We went to the mall today with grandma and grandpa Rowland, she did really well. She even behaved for dinner. That is a first!! She usually thinks dinner time is play time. While we were at dinner she had to go Niao Niao (pee pee) of course. But this time I think it was for a reason. Another angel was sent our way. We were washing her hands and she said xie xie (thank you) to me. The worker standing right there fixing her hair net started to speak to her in Chinese!! She was so shocked and taken back that someone could actually speak to her in her language, that she froze. It was so cool!! I asked the girl to ask her if she could see if she is happy here, and she said that she was!! That was nice. The lady actually was from Taiwan came here 3 years ago. As a matter of fact she was from the same city as Maycee Wen is from. What an awesome thing. She gave us her number and said to call her anytime. She can teach us her language and speak it to Maycee anytime. We were so grateful for this angel today!! We needed her. She told us a well, not to feel bad that we took her from her country, she will be much better here. That made me feel better as well. I actually really miss the Taiwanese people!! We didn't want to say goodbye to Jill and Wen. I was so sad!! They are amazing women, and the people of Taiwan are so wonderful! I ache to go back. I have to say I was so disappointed in LAX with the rude US people. Never a smile, never a thank you, never a "can I help you". In Taiwan, it was always good morning, how can I help you, good evening, always with a bow. So polite and nice!! Of course I wasn't driving though. LOL.

Thanks to all of you for your love, support, prayers, and help! We couldn't have done it with out you!! Much love. The Taylor's.

We will continue to make posts with updates on how things are going here.

Well family and friends, this is the end of this chapter of our Journey. I would say the end of the Journey, but I think it is just beginning. It is our last day in Taipei. So sad, but yet so happy to get home. We miss our kids, and all of you! We got the visa today, so we are cleared to leave the country with our firecracker!!! and I mean firecracker!! Hope you are all ready to meet her! She is really shy at first, then you better watch out, she will explode!! No holding this one back. The pictures are of yesterday outside AIT when we got our clearance from the Embassy! :) Then today after picking up her visa we went to the Zoo (on our own without our guides, and we survived!! They were with the other family today! They are finally picking up their daughter!) We had a great time at the zoo, Jason even found the "POO ART"!! Can't believe the fascination with it here, wait until I show you the toilets. Very interesting!
The panda bears were AMAZING!! Really awesome! We took the MRT home, Taipei's subway of sorts. It was cool, and Maycee thought is was way cool. We missed Jaycee and Nate though. Can't wait to have us all together. We leave tomorrow afternoon Taipei time, and arrive back on Wednesday night. Not looking forward to the flight, and especially customs, nervous for that. That is our last hurdle to reach in LAX getting her into our country now. :) I know it will be fine, we have defiantly felt all of your prayers, and know that the Lord has guided us through this whole thing. What a miracle. I told Jase though that this child birth was not an easy feet. :) She came kicking and screaming that is for sure, but now when she laughs it will make you laugh even harder!! Thanks again to each and everyone of you for ALL of your help! May you be blessed. We love you all, and we will see you on US soil in less than 40 hours!!!

Love you all!!! And again thanks to all of you for your posts, they have helped us get through this. Made us cry, laugh and enjoy the journey even more.

So Monday was a great day! We made wonderful progress, that is until bed time. :) We got up had breakfast, and she eats so good! The hostesses are great to her in the restaurant here in the hotel. We left for AIT at 8:30 AM. Jase gave Maycee a blessing last night, and she was felling better in the morning, fever had broke, but the cough was still around a little bit. So we decided not to go see the Dr. AIT went so smooth. Couldn't believe it! We were done and out of there by 10:30. It takes a half hour to drive there, and then parking. :)

After AIT we went and visited the Temple. Wow what an amazing feeling, just on the grounds. We didn't get to go in, it was closed, and Jill and Wen needed to get back to the hotel for the other family. But is was great to just walk the grounds for a minute. Such peace. We had lunch at Subway of all places. Ready for a change of pace. Maycee ate a whole turkey sandwich. Well her and Jaycee have something in common!! :) Then we went shopping to a "flawless" Jade shop. Very nice things. While we were there Maycee was on a roll, it was like someone slipped her a bag of sugar.....she was like that at AIT as well???? Not the girl I was used to seeing, she was bouncing off the walls! But we had a great time. We got a lot of shopping done! yeah!! After that we went to the 101!! It was way cool, we went up 91 floors!! It is the tallest building in the world! Amazing experience. We spent 2 hours there, and then went out for Mongolian BBQ with the Chapples, Jill, and Wen! We had a blast!!

When we got back to the room, we started making heads or tails of all the suitcases, stuff, and things of Maycee's to bring home. Maycee actually let Jason get her in the tub, wash her hair, and help her get ready for bed, it was nice. She finally has some trust in him. It was hard at first, they have a hard time relating to males, because all the females do the raising in this culture.

When we were getting ready for bed though, she had a melt down. I think it is finally sinking in that she isn't going back to the orphanage, and that she will never see her friends again. She always pretends like she is talking to them on the cell phone. :)

We are excited to be coming home soon, 1 day left here, then we head home on Wednesday!! Ya! Will miss the people here, Jill, Wen, and everything about Taiwan, except for the Stinky Tofu!! But we are excited to get home, and move on to the next chapter of our book. Again love you all, and thanks for the prayers! They are defiantly being answered!

Have not had a chance to download pictures. Sorry hopefully in the am. We are on our way to bed. Things went so smooth at AIT today!! Usually takes 3 hours, and ours was a little over one hour. So thank you for all of your prayers. They are definatly being answered. Maycee is feeling better, not all the way, but is doing a little better, so thank you! I will do a bigger post in the am with pictures. We had a fun, full day! Love you all!!

Well I am back a little more rested. We are getting ready to head out the door to go hiking....everyone knows that is my favorite. But it is so beautiful, and I know I won't make it back for a while, so we are going with a smile. We went to the orphanage Chung Yi in Taipei. They introduced us to the CEO of the orphanage. She was very kind. They took us in a room and poured water for all of us. They actually poured us water in mugs that were the United States flag. It was cool. In the middle of the table they had and American Flag and a Taiwanese Flag. It was really neat! We went over all of her papers and then asked her care giver questions that we needed to take care of her, and things that comfort her etc. It broke my heart for them to have to say goodbye to this beautiful little angel. They have taken such good care of her for 3 years! They love her so much. Then they brought in her things in a little suitcase. She had all kinds of things in there. There were gifts from all her caretakers. She got new shoes, "Disney" things, socks, hair pieces, and a beautiful Jade necklace. They had us check every last thing to make sure she had it. Then when it was time to bring her in she freaked out again. So her caretakers walked over to the park with her, we were supposed to follow. She started to cry again. So it was off to McDonald's again. While we were there, it was really busy, and her caretaker slipped out the other door. It was not the way I wanted her to say goodbye, but that is the way we had to do it. We didn't get to do the traditional picture at Chung Yi when we left, which was sad, but oh well. We made it. We are making HUGE progress!! She took a shower last night, washed her hair, and oh ya goes Niao Niao (Pee) all the time!! I think she is fascinated with the toilet in the bathroom! Much different than she is used to. It is usually a urinal in the floor that they squat on....Lianna loves those when we go out!!! :) She slept in her bed all night, went right to sleep at 9. We checked on her like 9 times last night. Finally at 5:30 this AM we couldn't sleep so we got up and was quite to go and get ready. Next thing we know is she is bursting open the door yelling Niao Niao!! She was up for the day!! And boy is she a tornado!!!! She doesn't stop!! unless we are in the car. she doesn't like the car, it reminds her of something that she doesn't like.

It is beautiful in Taiwan. Today we were supposed to go hiking right, well when we got up there it was pouring, and I mean pouring rain!! We went to see the volcano, and Jase and I got sopping wet. Wen-Ru stayed in the car with Wen. So we didn't get to see much. Jill says that a Typhoon is passing by here to the south between Philippines and Taiwan. So it was drench day! We went to the Confucius Temple instead. It was very interesting!! We are now back in the hotel room playing and waiting to go to the night market in a bit.

Thanks again for all of your love and prayers, they have defiantly been felt, and answered. We are so grateful for such amazing friends and your support! We need you to all pray some more though, Wen-Ru is getting sick with a bad cough and really runny nose. We need her healthy to get her out of the country. We meet with AIT (US Embassy) tomorrow AM.

Jaycee and Nate we can't wait to bring home your little sister to you! Thanks for being such great kids, and for helping out. It makes things alot easier on us half way around the world. Miss you tons!

With love, Jason and Lianna
LONG DAY today again, but a good one! I am so exhausted I don't think I can make it through a full post, so I will tell the story in the am! Just thought you might enjoy some pictures of today. Love you all.!

Well everyone, sorry about the spelling on last nights post, what do you expect for someone who only is getting 4-5 hours sleep. So I will remember to do spell check today. :) Just wanted to let you know we are on our way to go get our little girl. This is the day they call "Gottcha Day". She will stay with us from now on. We hope and pray that she knows this is a good thing, and will feel of our love, and all the love of her family and friends at home. We are going to go to a huge memorial today. We will take lots of pictures. It is going to be another crazy, but exciting day! Wish you could all be here with us.
Well everyone, today was a LONG DAY!! Didn't quite go as planned, but what ever does right? We traveled 2 1/2 hours to Taichung county. Jill and Wen are amazing!! Also Jane (the social worker from Chung Yi went with us)! she is also wonderful!! When we got to the orphanage, we had to wash our hands, and have our temperature taken. I asked if it was always like this, or just because of H1N1? they said it is always like this. Everyone wears masks. Know I know why I am not a surgical nurse. (Chlosterphobia). I was using the restroom after the long trip when they brought her down the stairs. She saw her daddy and started screaming!! When I cam out it wasn't any better. NOT GOOD! So we played with the other kids in her classroom for a bit. The ones that sang happy birthday to Jaycee. So cute! She finally calmed down and we went to the car. They brought her out, and she was crying. After about 2 minutes, she was better, and was ready to go see the Dr. She started holding my hand at the hospital. :) It was a good thing. The one picture is of us at the hospital waiting for paper work after her appt. Poor little Wen-Ru, with her patch, mask and glasses you can hardly see her face, but it is so darling, take our word for it. You can see pictures of Jaycee and Nate in her sticker package (she was bribed with stickers to go to her appt if she was good, that mommy would buy them for her.) We showed her their pictures and she wouldn't let go of them. She kept them with her. :)
She finally warmed up to daddy at McDonald's. She ate her whole meal and left nothing, not even a crumb. She then got a balloon from a lady that worked at McDonald's. It was made like a sword. She played a game with Jase, and started to laugh out loud!! Her laugh and little voice is just priceless!! So here is a picture of her at McDonald's. The highlight of our day. I guess McDonald's is universal for ALL kids!! We then went to the Art Museum. This is where she wanted to go! It was so fun! They took our temps there too! She was so sweet, she took Jason and my shoes and put them in the cupboard with hers. after we played there, she got them out for us to put back on. She was so tired so we back to her home we went. We get to pick her up in the morning. Hope all goes well. Pray for us that she will be comforted, and we will be able to communicate with her. Love you all, thanks again for your love and support. We are looking forward to getting to know her better, and bringing her home to everyone! LOVE YOU! Off to bed again, maybe we can sleep past 2 tonight. :)

This is our trip to Wulai! It is beatiful! It is up in the mountains out of the city of Taipei. It took us about one hour to drive there. Any of you that have been on the road to Hana in Maui, it runs a quick second to that. VERY HUMID!! Jason and I were soaking wet. Plus I think we got enough excersie to last us a while. climbing steps, hiking, seeing HUGE bugs, frogs, and spiders. There were beautiful waterfals, and rivers. This one picture is of Jase and I in the HOT springs, and I mean HOT! We only soaked our feet, little scary to do much more than that. :)
Jill and Wen were such wonderful guides. We had a great time with them.

Well tomorrow we FINALLY get to see and spend the day with our little Wen-Ru! It is a full day, Dr's appts, McDonalds (at her request), the sceince museum, and playing with her. We should have lots of pictures for you tomorrow.

Thanks again to each of you for your love and support! See you tomorrow. It is only 6:25 here, put we are exhausted, so off to bed we go. :)

No pictures today, crazy travel day!! We have been up for over 28 hours now, off to bed. So it is a short post. We were definatly blessed today!! We got exit row seats on our way over. Such a nice thing for a 13 and 1/2 hour flight. Especially with Jase!
The people are so sweet and kind here!! AMAZING! Wen, and Jill are great! Such wonderful women! They are are guide and cordinator. We are off to bed, extremly tired!

But getting so excited to hold our little girl! One more day, and we get to spend the day with her!! Her cute little bed is set up in our room! So cute!

We are greatful for our families, and friends! We could not have done this without you! And we are extremly grateful for the Lord and all of his tender mercies. His hand has guided us through this whole thing. What a great day of adventure and excitement!

This is our little Wen-Ru (Maycee) making a card for her sister Jaycee for her 8th Birthday!
Well we are down to less than 36 hours before we leave on our Journey! And the angels have been working over time in our life! Words, nor feelings can express our gratitude for the ANGELS that the Lord has sent to be with us, and our family at this time. Some one said to me today..."it is like the angels are just lined up ready to help". With the help of watching our Nathan and Jaycee, to watching our business', to providing funds to help. Our hearts are overwhelmed with the gratitude and thanks for such wonderful people in our lives. THANK YOU to all of our "ANGELS". And may the Lord bless you!

This is our Skype session with Wen-Ru on August 9th!! What a great day! It was Jaycee's Birthday and Wen-Ru and her classmates sang Happy Birthday in Manderine and English. We had all the grandparents here that night! She especially wanted to pet "Grandma with the dark hair". She loved to "touch" everyone's hair. What a happy little girl. We are so exicted to go and get her!!

Our little girl Wen-Ru Chan from Taiwan. What an amazing journey so far. We are ready to leave to go and get her. We will have her home soon.
